Executive Director, Mr. Raghu Dhital, paid tribute to her crucial role in supporting BNMT through financially uncertain times. He highlighted her determination to sustain key programmes and mobilise support, ensuring continuity of services and long-term stability.

The meeting also featured a message from BNMT UK Chair, Mr. Jeffrey W. Mecaskey, read by Ms. Soma Rai, which conveyed the deep respect and gratitude shared by all at BNMT UK for Dr. Gillian’s remarkable contribution and leadership across both organisations.

In her response, Dr. Gillian expressed heartfelt thanks and reflected on the shared achievements and partnerships that have shaped BNMT’s journey. As a symbol of appreciation, she was presented with a special artwork commemorating her memorable 2005 trek — a fitting tribute to her commitment, passion, and adventurous spirit that continue to inspire both BNMT UK and BNMT Nepal.
