The Britain Nepal Medical Trust has a legacy of nearly 60 years supporting health and development in Nepal. Our mission is to support the people of Nepal in improving their health and reducing poverty. By donating, you help us continue this vital work and empower communities to live healthier, more dignified lives.

could provide printed materials for small group sessions where people with TB support each other and learn how to cope with stigma.

could give a care package, designed with women’s needs in mind, to someone staying in a TB hostel while being treated for drug-resistant TB

could provide nutritious food to someone with TB, helping them recover and stay on treatment.

could give TB prevention medicine to four people who have been exposed to TB but aren’t sick yet.

could help train a local health worker to find and treat TB and other serious infections in their community.

could pay for one month of work by a community health worker who travels to remote areas to find and support people with TB.

could run a full TB screening campaign in a high-risk area, helping to find people who need treatment.

could support a small research project to find better ways to diagnose and treat TB or to understand how social problems like stigma make it harder for people to get care.
Leave a gift in your will
Gifts in wills can help our fight against TB in Nepal. Leave a gift in your will to BNMT and we’ll make a promise to you, to ensure your kindness and care continue way into the future. However big or small, your gift will directly improve the health and lives of communities in Nepal.
When writing or updating your will, after taking care of your loved ones, you can choose to leave BNMT either a percentage share of your estate or a fixed lump sum. Please remember to detail our full name and Charity number – Britain Nepal Medical Trust, Charity No. 255259.
And final consideration, leaving a gift to BNMT could reduce your inheritance tax liability. Gifts to charities are 100% tax free and taken out of your estate before any UK inheritance tax is calculated.

Volunteering & Internships
While volunteering and internships are coordinated through our sister organisation BNMT Nepal, we are always keen to highlight these opportunities.
BNMT Nepal offers placements for recent graduates, university students, medical doctors, and public health professionals who want to gain experience in Nepal’s development and health sectors. Opportunities include internships and volunteer roles designed to build understanding of the development aid environment and support BNMT Nepal’s vital work.
